Valdano:Zidane as a new coach is risky

The installation of Zidane as the new manager of Real Madrid is a "risky" one, the former general manager Jorge Valdano says.


The Frenchman was announced as the club's new coach on Monday after sacking of Rafael Benitez, who took over from Ancelloti  just for only seven months.

The France internationl spent six years as a player for the Spanish giants and began his coaching career at the club, taking over the Real Madrid team B side in 2014.

But Valdano believes Zidane's lack of experience makes it a risky appointment,"he told El Larguero

Jorge Valdano also make his thoughts known on why he believes the Rafa Benitez and Spanish giant club's relationship did not work out.

"The former Napoli's manager had troubles implementing his precise ideas in players with too many attacking midfielder, he says";

Having say that, the Frenchman is 11th coach in 12 years of Florentino Perez has been the club President for two spell and Valdano believes it's a gamble.
