Steven Parish: believe Alan Pardew can get bigger clubs managing job
The Eagle's chairman Steve Parish believes manager Pardew will be linked with football's bigger club jobs, but he is delighted this is not the case.
Since he left Newcastle United to Selhurst Park, where he plied his trade as a player, Pardew has enjoyed a superb 1 year in charge.
A win over reigning Premier League champions Blues on Sunday would see the Eagles move back into fifth place, and the chairman Steven Parish believes that incredible rise is largely down to the manager, insisting he would not be surprised to see big teams show an interest in him.
"Pardew is doing a great job for us and he is very much a part of everything we are doing at the club," he told BBC Radio 5 Live
"We're doing everything to keep hold of him so we're happy that he has not be linked with any club
"Of course, I would think everybody want to get to the top of their profession.
"I was just looking at his victorynpercentage this year, 53 per cent – it's ridiculous.
"Any chairman will tell you, when you're looking at managers, anything over 34 per cent victory percentage is awesome in a top league."
Last month, American investors Josh Harris and David Blitzer secured an 18 per cent stake in Crystal Palace and Parish hopes an addition of funds can help him to transform the club off the field.
"We really need to renovate the stadium," he added.
