Man United coach Louis van Gaal has declared his intention to resign after Saturday's defeat by Southampton at Old Trafford
But United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward asked Van Gaal to talk over his future with his family while he travelled to his homeland over the past two days "Sport Torch reveal".
