Ikechukwu Ibenegbu says CHAN duty first


The home-base attacking midfielder, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu has declared he is fully prepared at the forthcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Kigali, Rwanda.

The every two years football championship is expected to kickoff on Saturday, January 16 through to February 07 in Kigali.
The Nigerian international said other things including his club’s future career will be given no attention until after the side are done with the football showpiece in Kigali.

“For now I’m not in mode of any other thing else than the coming African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Kigali, Rwanda thereafter I can now give attention in other issues concerning the club and my future career

“I would like to give my all to the team to ensure we do not miss the chances to win the title  on February 07.

“We drew near to winning the title the last time in South Africa but later end up with a bronze so we want to win the title for the first time for Nigeria.
Nigeria’s first match will be on Monday against neighbours, Niger at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo, Kigali before confronting other Group C opponents, Tunisia and Guinea.
