Done deal:Patrick Bamford is back to Chelsea

The Eagles have confirmed the end of Patrick Bamford's loan deal from Chelsea after the striker reveal his stay at Selhurst Park as worst period, he says.


The England Under-21 international moved to Palace on a season-long deal in July but found first-team opportunities difficult to come by under Alan Pardew.

On December 28 Crystal Palace and Swansea City has that ended in a goal less draw, but the 22-year-old stated his desire to end the deal early, telling the news men "It has been the worst period of my career, No one wants to sit on the bench and not play."

But he later apologised for his remarks, saying they were taken out of context, but the England international jhas now returned to Stamford Bridge.

A host of Premier League clubs and Championship leaders Middlesbrough are reported to be interested in signing Bamford - who has before spent time on loan with MK Dons and Derby County.
